I've also been wondering the same thing lately.

Quote:
I wouldn't, as I prefer the JDS labs CmoyBB v3 over the iBasso T3 and T4 (owned both and sold them) for SQ, though the T3/T4 is a nice size for portability. Don't know about the D2 but for a similar priced amp with a better form factor (and one I also owned), I would choose the Leckerton UHA-4, which also has a DAC.

Comparing a DAC/amp with the CmoyBB is not really apples to apples because you get a DAC with the D2.

Can you use the Leckerton UHA-4 as a standalone DAC?
That is a big plus for me on the D2 in case I don't feel their amp brings any improvement to my set, I can always use the line out and use my Cmoy...

I don't see anything in the UHA-4 documentation that says it has a lineout. However, you could just feed the headphone out into an amp...

The UHA-4 does not have a line out. You could use the headphone out in a pinch, understanding you will not be bypassing the internal amp section. Personally if you need/want just a DAC I would look elsewhere.
