I know there are a fair few King Crimson fans at Head-Fi, so I figured I'd post about the new CD that arrived in the mail. It's The Crimson Jazz Trio - "King Crimson Songbook Volume One". Former Crimso drummer Ian Wallace has joined forces with pianist Jody Nardone and bassist Tim Landers to re-interpret some King Crimson classics in a jazz idiom. Now I'm not a huge jazz fan, but it sounds pretty good to me. The track list is here:

And some samples are here:

I'm listening to Starless as I type and it sounds wonderful. If you are a Crimso fan, check it out. Or if you're a jazz fan and have never heard of Crimso, give a listen and reply with your thoughts. I'm not affiliated with the band, just a Crimson fan from way back, and am curious what others think of this CD.

Doesn't sound bad. Never listened to Crimson. I'm going to have to try really hard not to buy this. Thanks for the tip.
