Warprdriver -- I think it is tough to generalize these things. You could also reasonably argue that Ultimate Ears of all stripes share a similar sound signature. Some have suggested that, in which case if you like one, you might like the other. And some have, in some cases virtually equally. So who knows?
I think what I would say is this -- regardless of model, Go Custom! (After all, it's the only way to get a good seal!)
