Nah! Forget the bitrate filtering, cause it wont be accurate.
Apple Lossless files can be way below 320kbps (mine are down to 2kbps).

Rather do it the "proper" way:
1. File -> New Smart Playlist...
2. "Kind" - Contain - "Apple Lossless"
3. Ok

That's how I do it. I have around 20 smart playlists. They're one of the best features of iTunes IMO.

Love the smart playlists. I've been using the smart lossless playlist for some time. Makes it nice to separate out my wife's itunes purchases. I also have all the decades setup. Another nice one is fine tuning the recently added. I think I have it at the last 6 months. Funny how I forget so quickly some of the albums I just bought. This can take some time but you can add "female" to all your female artist in the comments section and then make a smart "female artist" playlist. Adding anything to comments allows you to really customize playlists outside of all the fields itunes automatically pulls.

You can also set the DJ playlist to choose from your lossless playist. Makes it nice to have high quality random files. Not sure the Genius playlist can be limited to only lossless.

Me too and I believe it's the preferred choice of computeraudiophile as well.
