my first 2nd Gen shuffle had hiss/static when listening with UE SF5Pros, but not when using Ety ER6i. Also if i use the attenuator with the UEs it's fine.
Rang Apple and they're sending me a replacement.
Bought another one (for a present) and tested that as well - it also has the hiss with the UEs.
So maybe the larger batch that I got mine from where affected (one was from an Apple store in store, the other a reseller), so when the replacement arrive I'll be testing a third one.
