Hi. I had a topic about choosing my new headphone. They were helpfull and i ordered xb700. It has major effect that it was only for 95$ while others 125$ and higher. They compared xb700 with 150$ headphones and even much more and they said that its better. So i ordered it gladly. But i waited for a month and its still not in stock. So i have some options. I can pay 60$ plus and can get zx700 or mdr-7510 for 35$. Should i consider? Its kind a normal price, I am comparing to super cheap XB700. I also changed my mind about heavy bass thing. Now i a want more like... well lets say audiophile way . Seperation, mids. Comes more important to me now. Should i pay 60 bucks more and get zx700?

My english is bad, i guess i couldnt explain well.
Let me ask this way:

Can you compare Sony XB700 and ZX700 and mdr 7510 for me please? I read many reviews about this three but i couldnt find proper comperation between them. I also wonder is ZX700 worths plus 60$ over XB700?

Well.. I have the zx, and I'd say its a very good headphone for it's price. And a good headphone in general.

However, if you originally wanted an "XB" kind of sound, with crazy bass, then keep in mind that the ZX is very, very opposite of that.
It is, imo, a good 'monitor-type' headphone with a strong emphasis on mids. The bass is there, but it is there to let you know where bass notes go, not to smash your eardrum or anything. And know that it has a roll-off on the very deep bass, so it may be lacking some details in the very very low register (or whatever you call it around here)
For what it is worth - I can recommend the ZX if you want a very clear, separated, analytical sound. But it's not what people around here call "fun" (heck, it's even more neutral than beyer DT880, which itself is pretty neutral, far as I can tell).
So, is a ZX worth the extra 60$? I don't know... 155$ total, it comes down to? I'd say that headphone is worth paying that sum, though I suspect you could find a cheaper pair on some internet stores.

Oi, no kidding. Amazon is listing them at 119$ (and used ones go for 80$) - so you definitely should not be paying 155 for them! (I kinda wish I had checked the prices before making my first reply - not that good at making money conversions in head).

Thank you guys. I was originaly wanted that bass heavy sound but now i want audiophile kind headphones. I have already pay 95$ to that store for XB700 but its not in stock and not coming any near time. So i have to buy ZX700 from that store and the ZX700 is 165 in there, very annoying: mad:. I would pay extra by my eyes closed  if ZX700 would be 125$.

Maybe you can take a look at another headphone model in your price range. Which options you have available?

In that store, these headphones are avaliable:

Sony ZX700 165$ seems expensive
HD 518 is 150$ i especialy wonder this one
Sony MDR-7510 is 130$
Audio-Technica ATH-AD500 Air Dynamic is 110$
Koss PRO4AA is 120$
Audio-Technica ATH-A50 is 120$
Audio-Technica ATH-M50 is 150$
Shure SRH840 is 168$
Koss PRO4AAAT 170$

And couple of DJ headphones, should I consider them too? Some Denon, shurei A-T and Sony V700DJ

Can you guys pick for me best option? I want to follow audiophile way. Seperation, mids is most important.

MDR-7510 for 35 bucks? Get a couple of them, keep one, and sell the others for profit.

As far as I know, the MDR-7510 is the same as ZX700 but with black instead of silver accents and a carrying pouch (which you don't get with ZX700)
In my country, MDR-7510 is actually more expensive than ZX700. They go for around 140 euro over here so $35 is a steal.

Yes I am not in US and and i already paid 95$ for XB700 so I have to choose one from that store. MDR 7510 is 95$ plus 35$ so total 130$, i could tell proper, I am sorry for bad language. Are you realy shure its same with ZX700? I really considering it now than.

So I narrowed to 2 options.

MDR-7510 or HD 518. Which one would you get? HD 518 is 140$.

There's no way you can use the FS Forums on here and use paypal? You'll get headphones for a lot cheaper if you're able to do this.

If not, I think the M50 is good for $120.
