Came across this on ThinkGeek, just wondering:

ThinkGeek :: Mint Tin Pocket Guitar Amp

Does anyone know if this is the same type of amp as CMoy's and JMT amps, or is it completely different?

Rather hard to tell w/o seeing the inside, but as Altoids Tin amps go, most all of them are cmoy one way or another.

it advertised as a guitar amp. The components are probably tweaked as such and thus might not sound great (even for a cmoy). but, that is all my speculation.

But I can tell you it probably isn't a cMoy amp because I've got an Altoids cMoy amp and a stratocaster guitar, but when you plug a guitar into a cMoy (I used stereo IC's) I get mono sound (only the left channel gets a signal), and terrible sound quality.

I don't know why you're asking,
- if you're wondering if you could use this as a HP-amp,
- or if you could use your cMoy as a guitar amp? (this sounds crap)
