Long & McQuade - Products - Tascam US-122L USB Audio Interface

I have a friend who owns this, is this an external DAC or can it be used as one?

It is mostly a recording interface but it does seem to have analog outputs which would allow you to qualify this device as a DAC as well.

Digital input (USB) & analog output.
So, yes it sure looks like it qualifies as a DAC..

I think the usb-audio driver, or another might work with the Tascam too. From what I've read, if you have a Mac, the Tascam drivers were utter crap.
