Is there any place that I can get decent CD or MD player in Northern America?

I am really not an ipod guy. Anybody knows any good website I can get stuff like really decent cd or md player in US or Canada? Thanks!

MD players never really seemed to catch on too well here in the US. I think your best bet if you wanted to go that route is to see if by some stroke of luck, a store in your region still happens to have a few on shelf (One of the Radio Shacks here in Fairbanks still had 2 HiMD players up through June of last year), or online via ebay, craigslist.

www.minidisc-canada.ca and Minidisco: The MiniDisc Superstore, MiniDisc Recorders, Players, Headphones, Microphones and more! still sell md on order. a few months ago, minidisc-canada sold minidisk recorder (the one from last year that many on this site like) for 280$ cad but i am not sure anymore, that may have been to get rid of stock - sorry it is back up to 329$.

finding the older ones may be best on used audio sites. i sold my last one last year - sorry mate!~

I just picked up a very nice MZ-R30 with all the accessories off ebay for $70. It's well built with a dedicated line out which sounds great through my XP-7/AKG601.

The Sharp legacy MD units have a bit more bass and warmth, better for rock. The Sony sound is more sterile and balanced. Both are very pleasing if you are a MiniDsic person, too bad there was never an Auvi Hi-MD device.
