is the only problem with the triports their price?

Well, the price is what's wrong with any bad headphone. If the QC2s were five dollars, who would not buy some just in case they needed some really cheap headphones?

Well, I might not buy them because I don't need really cheap headphones, but if they were five dollars, I doubt that they would be criticized as much as they are now.

I still wouldn't buy them for $5. I'd consider it, but that's it. Mainly has to do with the build and looks. Besides, For a couple bucks more you can get a Ksc-75/mx500/etc. and they don't attract much attention.
