Other threads say that the yamahas sound better overall and have a similar amount of bass. The fidelios are pretty balanced according to this review so you may not like it.

thanks.. it still is 160$ .. but if i am able to push my budget a little more, i think i would go for them.
only thing is joker's review said it might be big and uncomfortable for small ear canal people.. do you think it 'd be a problem?? cuz the m5 fit perfectly with its medium sized comply tips

Most people get beats and then throw them around their neck...
but its not like beats are any good anyways...

really.. a classmate of mine has these headphones worth like 100-120$ signed by snoop dogg.. idk its name.. but omg when i listened to em.. i was like hit with huge amounts of bass bass and only bass.. vocals were unclear many-a-times.. and the funny part is that it had a bass controller on it which was just set at 50%!

really people here look only for bass. they buy speaker systems by the no. of window panes it can break in a minute. not that i hate being an indian.. i am proud of it, im just highlighting a particular aspect of a particular set of people [which probably makes me look like a hypocrite] but seriously this is a weak point in many people's mentality.

It is true that it will be uncomfortable for people with very small ear canals. I usually don't have trouble with triple flange tips and the ones on the yamahas seem pretty small

The shures would be the safer bet on comfort though.

thanks.. lets see what i actually get.. my finalists would be Yamaha EPH-100 & shure se215
i would still consider the re-400 for its really low price. and i would also like to wait for the shure 215 special edition to show up on geb and see if i can afford that.
