is LDMK2 tube amp good enough to power up the K701?
or does K701 need something far more?
if LDMK2 is more than enough, whats the cheapest needed to power up K701?

It should not be too bad, at 62ohms and looking at the stats on Little Dot's page suggests about 150mW or so
at that impedance (roughly speaking)
 
Output voltage though at any impedance is not mentioned or published, this is also very important for
the K701 to perform it's best.
 
I don't think it will be a bad match up, but there is better - unfortunately out of your price range.
 
I wouldn't go cheaper than $124USD if you want to have a really transparent sound stage.

I would say probably not. It will be loud enough to listen to. But probably not driven to full effect.
 
NFB-12, however, will push it. Push it hard.

Malveaux's suggestion was excellent with the Audio GD range - $330USD

I would worry a lot more about a good DAC and the best possible source music before worrying too much about an amplifier. The K701, even well amplified, is not going to very revealing (in a good way) from an average/poor source.
 
What's your DAC solution (or source, if DAC doesn't apply specifically)?
 
As for an amp, push 1 watt into it, it will be enough. Any amp that can do that will do great here. Lots of them in the ~$200 range.

M Stage doesn't output anywhere near the power of the NFB.
 
Both come from China.
 
Get the NFB if you want serious bang for your dollar. You email them what you want, they give you a quote, and you then use Paypal. Ships that week. Seriously, between the two, there's literally no reason to get the M Stage.
