I have Fiio K3 New as dac/amp, and it's perfectly fine for me, but it's too small. I want something bigger and a bit higher class,like these:
Fiio K7
Fiio K11 R2R
SMSL DL200
Shanling EH1
The problem is that they all are too powerful (over 1W at 32 Ohm) and my headphones are rated for only 50mW input power (Meze 99 Classics and Fiio FT1). I can read specs and i do understand, that mentioned power achieved over balanced output at high gain at max volume, but still it is too much, i guess. Even if the phones won't break, i will have too little room to adjust volume probably.
So, does anyone know about another modern low power dac/amp? Or maybe i should just wait untill i get a 300 Ohm headphones?
But most importantly: Is it safe to plug low input power headphones in the powerful dac/amp?
