Is it possible reuse my old 2.1 subwoofer with a pair of new active speakers? The subwoofer inputs from L/R RCA ports. Currently I am outputting from a DAC (L/R RCA out). The idea is to split the signal into two pairs: one goes to my new speakers, and the other to my old subwoofer with no speakers connected. Will that work without signal degradation? I plan to use two RCA Y-splitters like these: https://media.karousell.com/media/p...old_plated_audio_plug_1472114176_2a6f7b20.jpg

It would look like this:
PC => DAC => Active 2.0 Speakers
................... => Active Subwoofer

Any comment appreciated!
