Is it ok to sweat with noise cancelling headphones?

I'm pretty sure the manufacturer thought about that a bit but 1) that's not fool proof, 2) leather pads wear out eventually while velour pads can absorb moisture and grow bacteria, and 3) it's not fool proof and worse if by "sweat" you mean "baking in worst kind of climate while jogging."

Whilst not the worlds greatest cans, I had a set of Sennheiser MM550's which I used a the gym solidly for about 18 months during both cardio (bike/treadmill) and weights. They held up fine and are still working without an issue.
Of course with different brands and models, YMMV.
