I have just received the rsa raptor, which is my first tube amp. My tubes are Amperex eec186 and Philip 5687.
whenever I turn on the amp, i alway see a flash light(just like oxygen burning) on the tube Amperex not the other two Philip(no flash light). I am so scared about that and think my Amperex is broken?????
Is it normal or unusual for the tube? any advise plz
thanks

Normal. Some tube will flash and some don't, depends on the original design of themanufacturer.

btw, this thread should go to amp forum.

As you see, tubes make a nice light.

glowing and flashing are two entirely different things

Yep - nice lights in the tubes are put there by Millett Hybrid and Millett Hybrid MAX builders.

We install colored LED's under the tubes - a tradition with a DIY Millett or MAX.

ClieOS is also correct - I've had EI 12AU7's that often flash when turned on. It looks almost like a light bulb burning out, but is perfectly normal for that brand and type of tube.
