The one in my photo is actually two of them taped together. They arrived that way from Tarkin. The blue sticker is holding them together. By the way, they were $18.00 ea. and I don't believe he charged for shipping.

I replaced the battery with a 1300mah one from Amazon from a company called "Insten". I'm not convinced it's really 1300mah. I doesn't seem to last all that long. I'm not sure where to get a good reliable battery.
I have got all the things to do another since friends keep borrowing my first one.

Yes - just won a ipod mini on ebay. Bought a new 540mah battery on ebay too. About to order the sdcf card, and lastly I think I've settled on the sandisk extreme pro class 10 u3 sdxc card. Just because I want the highest write speed.

I thought I would eventually do a couple. It seems like such a nice little package with all of that storage.

I was a bit nervous opening the iPod up. I watched a couple of videos on YouTube and my brother in law was there coaching me and telling me what to watch out for and what was delicate. I actually did the entire conversion in a little restaurant we meet at every other week. Along with my nephew it's our little hi-if club. I bought some of the little nylon pry bars off amazon to help pry off the ends. I thought they were very useful. I did not want to warp the plastic ends. I have seen the damage done by others and it would drive me crazy if I did that to my iPod. You need to be very gentle working the ends off.

Congratulations on your eBay Mini. Did you get a first or second generation? The 2nd gen is supposed to have a more energy efficient OS. I hope your mod goes well. Just take your time.
