Brian Donnegan from Twistedpearaudio.com suggested using a TXH module(check his website) in the output of an opus dac and remove the output caps. The TXH module is a preamplifier that will remove the dc offset and buffer the signal as well. This sound like a good idea.

It just occured to me that maybe this could also be done with an IMOD ipod. Imagine connecting the line out of the ipod to one of this modules. No output caps on the ipod!

Am I totally crazy or does this actually sound like a good idea?

ps: sorry about the title, I want get people's attention

Won't work.

The opus dac is a balanced voltage out dac. The TXD allows to have truly balanced outputs, including the common DC voltage that it is on the outputs, even with somehow unbalanced loads. Thus, the following differential stage will get rid of the common mode voltage. The TXD doesn't remove any dc offset by itself.
