I have Cowon C2 and iPod touch 4G.

I find them similar in sound with my ath-esw9 and UE tripleFi-10.

When you add the cowon equalizer it does sound great, but I also the Cowon sound on my touch with the BBE sonicmaxpro app (using MP3 or ALAC).

FLAC support is good on the cowon, but I have flacplayer app on my iPod touch that does that, its easy to add songs, a great app.

I have a macbook pro and didn't have any trouble adding songs to my Cowon C2.

In short, I use my iPod touch more because the user interface is great, I get the same quality sound, and I have mainly ALAC and FLAC music on it.

All those apps are free? (flacplayer - 10$, BBE sonicmacpro)
How do u had flac songs into your touch? itunes don't recognized them into library, i think..
Another thing is that all the apps (on the market) say they're for iPhone and iPad but not iTouch.. is that okay?

I have them on my ipod touch 4g. Some apps dont work so well on
earlier ipod touches.

Its easy to add the flac songs. Connect touch to computer-my device-apps-scroll down to the bottom of the page-click on flacplayer-add songs. No newd to add em to your itunes library-straight to ipod touch.

It should that the apps are for iphone and ipod touch in the store.

As I have a nice mid-range android, I almost think that there is "no reason" thinking on Touch and go straight for the Cowon for the music.

however, being european and living in china I can save almost 80/90€ on the Touch purchase (32gb version).. "bargain" ...
The Cowon I may save 40/30€ by buying them here.

I really have to try the sound of Cowon vs iPhone and one time for all decide my choice..

ps: not fakes

Sorry, not free.

Click on the iphone Flacplayer app in the iTunes store and it will give you the iPod touch compatible details.
Same for for most of the iPod touch/iphone apps..

IMO what people praise about cowon is the eq'd sound. in normal flat eq while using the same 320kb/s mp3 my clip zip and j3 sounded the same to my with ety hf5! so the hype is the BBE+ effects not the flat sound right?
