I've got an iPod coming to me and I'm going to get a skin (either the BSE or an IS) for it. I'm wondering what those actually do to the feel of the iPod?

Are they smooth or rubbery/tacky? Do they attract dust or particles like some of those rubber sleeve things do?

Also, having read recent reviews of both of those skins here, am I correct in believing now that the BSE is identical to the IS in every way but price?

Thanks for anything you can tell me.

Have you tried Decalgirl.com skins? freaking amazing looking.

They are decals though, they have protected my ipod mini through a lot of scratches. Dont know how relevant it is for you.

I'm about to get me a BSE skin and from reading up on their website they say that aside from price, its the same as the invisible shield? Can anyone else comment on this?

My understanding is that the old BSE skins were much worse than the IS, but the new BSEs are identical. That's pretty much what I wanted to have confirmed when I made this thread, but no one's answered me yet.

I bit the bullet and ordered a BSE a couple days ago. I should know in a few days.

How easy was it to apply?

I know they're both "great".

Smooth, don't attract dust. It takes a few days for all of the bubbles to work themselves out, though.

Cool, thanks. Hopefully the BSE I just ordered will be along the same lines.
