iPOD LOD Digital or analog signal?

1. Is the signal coming out of my iPOD LOD to the mini plug a digital or analog signal?

2. Is the signal coming out of the ipod Headphones jack a digital or analog signal?

3. Is the LOD to RCA cable a digital or analog signal?

Only way you get digital from the iPod is via the Wadia 170 stationary home dock and a few others like it
