Heh, I just traded my 6 month old Mini, a Creative Muvo N200 and a small amount of cash for a new 4th Gen iPod (black & white screen). Now I have room enough for a higher bit-rate. Tryin' to sell her my E3's too but I don't think she's goin' for it. The beat goes on!

What sucks is that the iPod is a pretty respectable DAP; every player on the market is a compromise in one form or another.
Many head-fiers including me stand by their ipod's, I'm pretty sure most of us buy iPods for more than sex appeal.

I agree with you. However, my purchase of my iPod was mostly because of its superior line-out signal. It was simply the best option to pair with a decent headphone amp. Sound through the included earphones on the headphone jack proved to be really really bad. I hardly ever use headphone out and detest people insisting that it sounds decent.

Ha! The last time I used that argument (except for hurricane relief) for Arstechnica's destruction of an iPod nano which was near useless IMO, I got heat.
