May I ask which external DAC for iPhone that supports the microphone function (so that I can answer phone calls while using it)?
I only know the original Apple lightning to 3.5mm headphone jack cable and Fiio i1 supports mic function

Not much choices. Fiio i1 has a mic for wired DAC. AK XB10 has a mic for Bluetooth DAC.

Best bet is to contact Fiio. You might also try to download the Fiio app to see if there is a firmware update that needs to be installed.
