Have to agree. Very sage advice.
I have three primary sources: iPod Classic with LOD/JDS Labs CmoyBB amp, iPhone4, and the latest is the Sony A865, with the vaunted Master-S MX amp. They all sound fantastic, pretty close in fact, when using the JH5 customs with the TWag cable. But to me, the iPhone 4, even without EQu on, is at least as good as the other two sources, and sometimes really blows me away with how good it sounds. Yes, the Classic with amp does expand the soundstage, detail, air, etc. And when at home, I use that source (it also has 120GB of music on it). But on the go, the iPhone4 is as good as it gets for me, when considering portability, ease of use, SQ, etc. The only thing I need now is the JHA iPhone cable I hear is coming out, which means I will use the JH5s on the go more often (I usually use the Spider realvoices, which are a great cheap alternative for the iPhone4).
