Thanks armaniwearr, though I'm actually looking for a clear shield that covers the entire or most of my nano. Good thing you got 6 of em, people like us might as well pay a professional to install it for us

The Invisible Shield is the BEST iPod case available (in my opinion). I ordered mine directly from them and it came in less than a week (normal USPS mailing time). You can also get the Nano version HERE

It is really strong and sticks on great (no peely edges). I can try to vigorously scratch it with a key and it shows no damage. Also, if anything does go wrong it comes with free lifetime replacement.

My first one took about half an hour to put on right. I suggest using plenty of water (so it is easy to slide around), do NOT pull apart the click wheel cover and the main front cover (they are two pieces, but you don't have to pull them apart), and use a credit card to push air bubbles out. It may look a little blurry at first, but if you get rid of all the air bubbles it should look flawless after 24 hours. If you put it on and it's not quiet right, just pull it off and start over (within a minute or two). I had to do this a few times for my first one. I got one for my girlfriend's iPod and it was much easier (and quicker) to put on once I knew what I was doing.

I found that it actually hid ALL of the scratches on the front of my iPod (and some but not all on the back)!

sorry about that i thought too fast and assumed you have a bigger screen, and yes, i had to use a squeege for my truck windows to get it put on right.

I bought one not too long ago for a 5G Ipod based upon the raving reviews here (and the fact that no other case is currently available for the 5G). In short, my experience putting it on was a nightmare. Yes, I used lots of water, and was able to take it off a few times. But I could never get the corners quite perfect, and the whole credit card trick of wringing out air bubbles actually ruins the surface once the Shield begins to dry/set. That said, I have butterfingers for this sort of thing, and your experience may be totally different (as others allegedly has been, although if you look closely at a lot of photos you can clearly see bubbles and/or excess material). I'm currently waiting for another manufacturer to release something that doesn't require an art degree to install.

I paid $20 for an Invisibleshield for my nano and am glad I did. It really works as well as they say and wasn't very hard to apply.

That said, it was a rip-off in terms of price. It's made of 3M's Scotchgard Paint Protection Film SGPPF6 used in car detailing shops. That film doesn't cost anywhere $100 per sq ft.

You can get the same thing for nanos and 5Gs here for $6

The water is used so you can slide the film around on the iPod before it sets. This allows for bubble removal and placement.

It's true that the Invisible Shield is actually made from a 3M product which can be purchased for much cheaper, but you are paying for it to be die-cut into the correct shape/size. Plus it comes with a lifetime warranty.

The "Best Skins Ever" seems like a great deal IF it is made out of the same material. If not I'm sure it will still work great, but the 3M stuff is very durable. For $6 it is definitely worth a shot, even without the lifetime warranty. Here's the application direction for the Best Skins Ever:

They are identical to the Invisible Shield ones, but they have nice pictures.

It is kind of odd that they charge shipping. My Invisible Shield was mailed free in a normal envelope.

Got it in the mail today. Plain envelope from CO, USA. I'm wondering if the water can seep through the edges of the wheel and into the nano? Fit around the wheel seems a little tight. Meh, we'll see what happens after it dries up in 24 hours.

My experience at putting it on was a nightmare as well. After countless attempts I gave up. The edge tabs wouldn't simply stay down and anyway the part around them would bend when I flex them down, no matter what, it was like the glue wasn't sticky enough.

I had TONS of trouble putting mine on. Took about 2 hours in total. First I had reversed the skins, so the glue was on the wrong side. It's because they don't tell you that the skin with the flaps has to go on the back, and not the front. So if you assume that it goes on the front, like I did, and follow the instructions which say that the glue-side is the one that faces down, then you'll have it reversed.

Also the flaps wouldn't stick - I spent around 20-30 minutes just holding them down with my hand. It's really hard to hold them down, while making sure that the cover doesn't slide just 1 micrometer.

Something got trapped under the skin, I don't know what, but it looks like the display has some dead pixels now because of it (they are not bubbles).

Mine is supposed to come in a few days. Rather then have the nightmare experience like most of you, I am going to use a local window tinting place to put it on. I have no idea what they are going to charge me, but it can't be all that much.
