It looks like it doesn't have a bluetooth function. It will limit the usage of this dac/amp as a portable equipment.
How? Yall have fifty million bluetooth dongles available to you. Who needs all what this offers to drive bluetooth?

I'm attracted to the form factor and the MagSafe - plus an internal battery that doesn't draw phone battery. Seems like a no-brainer for the price.

LOL me too asking
2r2 is an inductor. It is a component that can convert electrical energy into magnetic energy and store it. The structure of an inductor is similar to that of a transformer, but it has only one winding. An inductor has a certain inductance, and it only hinders the change of current.

I still prefer my original answer.

Does the USB-C port charge at the same time it acts as data input?
Hi @dstarr3 ,
Thanks for the inquiry. It can only be charged in standby mode.

We hope this helps.

No wireless connection! That's a must for me.

I don't want to start a storm here. But I personally try to avoid anything that communicates with microwawes if I can avoid it. And anyone that produce products without it makes me curious about them.

so Questyle CMA18P inspires many manufactures indeed
I was thinking about that yesterday. The CMA-18P has some weird features with the ADC, which they could’ve done without and reduced pricing. If sound quality on this SMSL is even as good as an M15i (which I don’t see why it wouldn’t be), then it’ll be a serious bargain. I’m just annoyed that this device doesn’t charge while playing (which the CMA-18P does) - that’s just silly.

This is the feature I appreciate most. With the MagSafe attachment, it seems this form factor is seeking to be a dongle with an internal battery. If it leeches off the phone during playback, that would defeat the intended purpose.

Yeah you’re right, you don’t want it trying to charge in dongle mode. Easily solved with a desk mode where that can be enabled (I think this is what the CMA-18P does).

Why is there always something I want to buy?
I bought this already and I'm also probably going to end up getting the RU9 when it releases too, because, toobs...
