When I did the firmware update from local update. Happened twice.
But now its working just fine after I did the OTA update.
Glad it worked over OTA, strange you had issue with local update.
Anybody else updated through local update and faced same issue?

According to the video by the authrized distributor in Japan, unfortunately, Android 9 upgrade plan for M6 Pro/M6 has been canceled.

Why should we care about android 9?

Improved security, battery management, and speed maybe? And it was repeatedly said that m6/m6pro would receive it.Why should we care about android 9?

It's not a top smartphone, newer android version is a risk of slower response rather than faster. Security isn't a priority in a dap for me either, I'm using it for music only. Battery management - would be nice. It's time to improve android 8 on our daps, not running for numbers imo. Or 7

Tidal / Spotify crashing
Just got my M6 Pro. It came with firmware 1.2, but I installed 1.31 straight away, did a factory reset, then installed and activated google play store.
First impressions good, but I have the following issues:
1) playing FLAC files with Shanling app - every other song cuts out for 1-2 seconds about 1 minute into the track
2) Tidal and Spotify - I can log into both, and change settings. But Tidal crashes when I try to play a song, and I can't hear anything from Spotify.
I've tried listening with a couple of IEMs and a headphone (all 3.5mm jack), but it's the same for all of them.
Very frustrating - have I just got a duff unit? Or am I missing something in settings?
Any ideas would be very welcome!

I would recommend factory reset. I'm not experiencing any of that.
Thanks, I've tried that once but it'll be worth trying again!I would recommend factory reset. I'm not experiencing any of that.

Thanks for getting our M6 Pro.
For the Tidal and Spotify, do you have them installed directly from Play Store or through some apk?
You can try to make sure other music apps are closed when using these streaming services.

I don't believe in stock form the M6 Pro supports. I think you can use 3rd party apps. Maybe someone can confirm.does the shanling m6 pro support mqa?
Thanks for the reply. Thanks for getting our M6 Pro.

They both seem to be working OK now after a couple of factory resets. I've tried installing from both Play Store and the pre-installed APKPure - I've found that the most stable is Tidal from APKPure, and Spotify from Play Store. Not sure why this would be the case...
Love the sound of the M6 Pro by the way, great job!
I've gone from an M0 to a (Fiio) M6, now your M6 Pro. Not deviating from Shanling now!
