Introducing Shanling EC Zero T - Portable Tube & R2R CD Player

May 7, 2025 at 7:17 AM Post #31 of 44
I've purchased more CDs in the last year than I did in the 10 years prior, so I appreciate having devices like this on the market. I suspect many have already converted their collections to FLAC years ago, I'm just not yet one of them.
We all have our soft points... what would really amaze me would be a minidisc writer/player.
This is another level of storage and portability

May I know which distributor is it? I spoke to MusciTeck but it seems like they have suspended ordering from you due to the tariffs.
It’s on Amazon. $649

@Shanling What’s the life of the tubes and how do you swap them?

Also, re your Amazon store, one review said Shanling will be responsible for tariff, could you confirm that?

It'd be foolish to think the seller is paying the Trump tax. You are the one paying for it. Official price is $589, Amazon price is $649, 10% baked in tax for you. Plus sales tax you are looking at close to $700 out the door. I bought mine last week for $440 out the door (there is no sales tax). Picking it up in a few months when I visit China.

Looks like the US distributor is asking $700 + shipping for the unit - so that's 60% premium over the price in China. I think I will wait. :relieved:

I'm super interested in this player. Look forward to impressions.

I've tried Fiio's player and the Moondrop players and was not impressed for a variety of reasons.
