Introducing Lotoo PAW Gold

Another morning session. Guns N' Roses, with the LPG 2017 and Sennheiser HD650s. I took the headphones off for the picture, because in all honesty I look pretty crappy this morning. LOL

I have too many headphones and iems and need a clear out. My fav are the rad 0 and focal elex. The Sony is great with everything except estat iems but everything else it’s amazing with. I’m actually considering getting the Shure 1540. Are they good for most genres?

The Shure headphones are great all-around headphones for any genre. They're also really awesome at lower to moderate listening volumes. Your ears will thank you. I do actually prefer them using the balanced output on the NW-WM1A. They are also great from the LPG.

This is what my Lotoo Paw Gold 2017 does to me! The music saturates me. It is somewhat like a religious experience...

I just recently got the LPG, and it's kinda disheartening that this thread isn't active much, considering that this is an amazing player.
Ditto that, I've just ordered a new 2017 Paw Gold and am more than excited. I've drooled over this since I first auditioned it at a headfi meet (can jam?) around 2015. I used the Paw 5000 for a while but it was kinda thin sounding compared to the gold which was out of my reach at the time. Going to be pairing it AKG K812, Beyer T1.2, AKG N5005 and K3003. Cant wait!

This thing is just as juicy as I remember. Sounds amazing. Drives these AKG N5005s with more authority than my Sony wm1a (still love that beast too)

I have those same two players with a QP1R thrown in for good measure.

So, I've searched hi and lo and although there is some chatter on this thread around power supplies, the links are now dead mostly. I need some help please, I have a USB power brick (Anker) which can output both 9v and 12v which is really handy for powering devices which are not so portable. I'd like to be able to use that to charge my PAW Gold 2017. Problem is I can't find the correct tip size. I googled the power adapter and according to the specs of that particular one, the tip is 4.0/1.7mm (https://www.pchub.com/ue-ue15wcp1-120125spa-ac-adapter-5v-12v-ue15wcp1-120125spa-p204628) so I bought tip at that size from Amazon (I can attach that to the flylead which plugs into the 12v out of the USB battery). Problem is though it seems too big to fit and I am putting a fair amount of pressure but dont want to risk damaging the port on the PAW. Does anyone have a link (which still works) to an alternate power supply? maybe I can get a clue around the tip sizing.

Thanks!

I have only used the provided chargers. Andrew at Musicteck may be able to contact Lotoo and get an equivalent, compatible charging cable for computer or charging block.

Thanks, I’ve found a black tipped version, will give that a shot! Does your paw get hot when it’s charging?
It does get quite hot. I charge it laying in a Pelican 1010 microcase lined with a microfiber cloth. I leave the lid partially over it and let it charge.

I firmly believe that the Sony Signature Series digital audio players are perfect complements to the LPG 2017.

Hello, try Venture Electronics Zen 2.0 with sony WM1A or better WM1Z. Venture Electronics Zen 2.0 earbuds have signature like full sized headphone combination of HD650 and HD600 with great vivid midrange with exceptional depth and reverb. Yo can sleep with them. Very rare and unique.
