I am a LPG 2015 user, who had some help form this forum and thread. So I'd like to share one bug I just experienced.
As an upgrade, I just bought a new sandisk extreme pro 512GB sdcard (UHS-I, V30)
  • Max Read Speed: 170 MB/s
  • Max Write Speed: 90 MB/s
However, in somewhat reason I had 'unrecognized sdcard' messages regardless of fat32 patition I've carved from my pc.
For other 200GB sdcards I have it worked.. so I followed the same procedure. So this was very strange and annoying..

Of course, I couldn't format this from LPG due to above issue.

My last call was moving the firmware to 5.0.1.24 from 5.0.1.15 (I knew there'll no rolling back afterward.. :frowning2:

Fortunately, 5.0.1.24 worked nicely with this new 512GB sdcard and also fixed this issue.

I am not sure if it was a dedicate bug of 5.0.1.15 firmware but at least the latest firmware-5.0.1.24 seems have a fix for this.
Personally, I really liked the sound sig of 5.0.1.8 and there's no way for me to move back. :frowning2:

So I'm happy but said..

Also, if someone is considering selling the LPG (without the trade, just the sell), I will be very interested as well.

Can someone tell me the difference between the 2015 and 2017 version? Is it easy to change batteries ? I'm looking at a used one (i think it's the 2017 version, but I van't be sure for now) at 400 usd... Is this a bargain? Doesn't look to have any issues.

I'm nearly certain that the battery is identical. The finish is a little nicer on the 2017 model and to me the treble doesn't seem quite as piercingly high.

If its use case works for you I would say it is certainly a bargain. I got mine used for $800.

However, please do have all its limitations in mind. Basically it can only do one thing but it does it extremely well: Playing your music in a SD card with 3.5mm output.

As long as all functions well, that's a good price. What is its cosmetic condition?

Doing TOOL Fear Innoculum on my LPG 2017 this morning. Sounds great paired with my AKG K812 headphones.

I just recently got the LPG, and it's kinda disheartening that this thread isn't active much, considering that this is an amazing player.

I think that the pre built pmeq fits well to each respective genre. I've found the "headphone" pmeq to be my favorite.
