you should be able to pry it open with a thin object.

Do not unscrew anything, you simply have to pry open the fuse compartment beside the outlet, there should be a spare fuse, swap them around.
I did it. It finally works. You are a lifesaver, my friend. Almost send it back to Amazon. Now im testing it out. Again, thank you!
Edit: One last question though. Which fuse is in usage now? The one inside the chamber or the one tucked on the outside?

No way. The ESS Sabre Smsl M500 mk1 with Ananda Nano is tiring me in terms of fatigue very soon. I heard very favourably of Hifiman's dac and amps. Is EF600 very wide, big bold bass, non-fatiguing sound, I heard?

I wonder which is more of this compared to the Serenade.

Ef600 and serenade are extremely smooth.

I've had the EF600 for about 2 weeks now, and I have to say that I'm really enjoying this unit. I don't have a lot of gear to compare it to, decided to try this as an upgrade from my Schiit Modius + Arcam rHead stack. The difference in detail and clarity with the EF600 was pretty much instant. I'm also still using the HE-4XX, but I have a new set of headphones coming this month. My only gripe is that I wish it had a power button on the front panel. I do reach back and turn it off when I'm done for the day so it's not just running hot 24/7.

I also have to say that I LOVE the headphone stand feature of this amp. Fits perfectly on my desk and makes music throughout the workday much more enjoyable.

there’s one of these available for $200(~$130 USD) locally with a volume issue described as “cutting out between the clicks on the volume wheel, must be positioned on a click and works fine”. Does this make sense to anyone and is it fixable? seems like a bargain if so.

Just tried EF600 today, and dare I say what a pleasant surprise! As I don't like Hifiman headphones in general, so I tried EF600 with other cans, mainly ZMF Caldera (and some other planars).

For the price, I don't think I ever heard better pairing for Caldera, not even more expensive stacks from various combination DAC/Amp of Topping/SMSL/Singxer.

Full body, smooth sparkle treble, organic vocality, puncy weighty bass, with good depth soundstage. I like NOS mode (easy choice), and with most headphones I think Low Gain is my preferable choice, unless want to drive Susvara, DCA Expanse, and other low sensitivity cans.

I also tried it with Arya Organic, EF600 was helping to thicken the notes, and smoothen the highs, but still not my cup of a tea.
@TheMiddleSky I’m considering EF600 to drive DCA Noire , but I one Th616, Audivina, Ananda Nano and Atrium closed…
I’m in doubt between EF600 and TA32😆

Makes no sense to me. It is a smooth volume control, so no clicks. Not sure what they are trying to describe.
The EF600 is pretty powerful, meaning you can be limited to the very lowest volume levels with sensitive headphones and iems, so this could be unusable if there a volume control issues.

My apologies, EF6, not 600. I looked at the ad again it’s still available
