Intime SORA: Giant killer IEMs from Japan?

Ti3 definitely have a stronger bass, can compete with blon 03 as basshead iem.
Tonality-wise Ti3 could par with tanchjim O2 but O2 is more precise with imaging.
I think intime's target with Ti3's is to have headphone-like sound.

The size are same, but Ti3 lighter than sora 2, maybe because of titanium.

Cable is identical, both using rubber cable, but sora 2 feels more stiff, Ti3 feels more soft, like e4k cable's soft.

For me cable of Ti3 is more solid and heavier but still flexible, while cable of Sora2 is more softer and lighter.

As you can see here in the pics, even Ti3 shell is much lighter, its overall weight is still closer to Sora2.

I didn't notice the cable's weight, i just feel ti3 overall lighter than sora 2.

Btw, what eartips did you use ?

For me, sora 2 spinfit cp100, ti3 stock acoustune aet07.

When using aet07 on sora 2, it keeps sliding off from my ears.

epro horn-shaped on sora2
tips from blon03 on ti3

sora2 is tricky on playing with tips, its shell weight need to be consider coz its the reason it keeps sliding off.
i prefer blon03 tips on Ti3, less driver flex experience.

Yes, sora 2 is a bit tricky when using which eartips due to its weight.

But do you compare then sounds ?
When using aet07 or blon03 eartips.

IMO, aet07 and spinfit cp100 sounds same.
But cp100 hugs better.

blon03 tips is longer, its size fits perfectly with my ear canal opening. it doesnt slide, it locks-up with intimes nozzle.
soundwise i prefer this than aet07, it could sound similar with epro in my ears.
epro is horn shaped, only its opening is wider.

pics attached: left aet07, center epro, right blon03 tips

Intime Ti3, sora 2, sora midnight

20200817_141357.jpg

There is no bump on sora midnight to indicate left or right, just letter printing.

20200817_141435.jpg

The size of sora 2 and sora midnight about the same size.

20200817_141543.jpg

sora midnight much heavier than sora 2.
Well, it was explained in Intime webs that sora 2 is 16% lighter than sora 1.

The sounds are different too.

The bass is less than sora 2, but the high is same as sora 2, but not as controlled as sora 2.

In sora 2, i can hear the vocal is balanced with the instrument, but in sora midnight, the vocal is much more forward, like the singer right on your ear. The instruments are much more on background.

Lolz. Nobody loves aet07 here.
Try wearing sora-2 over the ear if you haven't

i always wear my Sora over ear due to their weight. re: tip, has anyone tried them w/ Xelastec?

I've tried with audio technica tips, i think it was Solid Bass, it does improved overall bass on sora 2 and Ti3, but on sora 2, the bass become in right amount of bass. On Ti3, the bass become much bassier, the high subdued.

Im trying out the xelastecs & playing them w/ the album below.
The tuning's got that reference type sound, very controlled detailed bass, emotive mids, & very good trebles.

one of my test albums for bass, mids & sibilant top...
