Looks like there is either a major router down or there's some type of DoS attack going on because traffic routes between our datacenters are going up and down by the minute. So, if you can get in at one moment and not the next, you're just a victim of router circumstance.

We've corroborated the fact that its a routing issue by going to different backbone router looking-glass tools and doing live inter-router pings and indeed, they're going nutty.

I was going to post that URL, but it wasn't showing anything catostrophic. The one thing that the health report didn't reflect was that there was a router hanging at the Chicago NAP -- may have been a Verio thing. But looking at it now, hey, it somewhat corroborates my rant! (of course, I sent trouble tickets to Level3, Verio, AT&T and C&W).

Hey Neil,

Are any of the upstream providers still having routing problems? I know of at least one Head-Fi'er that, as of 1:56AM PST, 4/17/03, is still unable to get to the Head-Fi pages...

Just checkin'

THanks!
