Been there early to beat the crowd. ISSE is mainly an AV / loudspeaker / home theater show and only since last year that an headphone component is added. Given I am neither an AV nor a loudspeaker guy, I didn't bother taking any pictures on those.
A&K room, with their loudspeaker setup.
The new AK320 ready for demo - it sounds pretty much like the AK380 with the same music and IEM (JH Audio Angie in this case)
The highlight of the show for me is to get to listen both Stax SR-009 and Hifiman HE-1000 side by side - both are stunningly good sounding, feeding by a Hugo TT. I'll say HE1000 sounds more balanced on overall frequency and is the more analytical of the two, but the musicality of SR-009 is by no mean any lesser quality in comparison.
Stax SR-507 lambda, another great sounding headphone on the show, though not quite as memorizing as SR-009 and HE1000.
Good sounding, but CKS1100 doesn't quite wow me.
Creative is showing off their new wooden E-MU headphones.
Didn't actually get to play with the Pioneer XDP-100R, as it is used to feed (to a desktop amp, then to) their Master1 flagship.
Nice looking, but there isn't any wow factor in its sound.
