I wanted to ask everyone if you shared my impression that the difference between high-gain and low-gain on the P6ProTi99 is surprisingly small?
I'm currently listening to the STORM on the P6ProTi99 and achieve a good volume level at 16 with low gain. In high gain mode the volume setting is 14.
I remember that while streaming via BT or USB cable the difference is significantly larger. What are your impressions of high gain and low gain?

Except for the volume level difference the gain level has no bearing on sound quality for me. P6 is notorious for sound control where you cannot bring down the volume really low for like 'bed-time' listening. For this reason, I use low-gain to bring down the volume but that's about it. Like you've stated there is a difference but not too much. I also have the volume attenuator adapter made by PW Audio through Musicteck to make the volume really low because even at volume level 2 it is too loud for me at night.
More and more I use ti99 I found device to be truly a collector's item. It looks and sounding different in very special way. Very addictive to say the least.
If the size matters, this thing really doesn't...

I sold all of my IEMs except Aroma Jewel. Between Ti99 and Jewel I don't think I need anything else.
I still have few headphone like Denon D9200, HD800s, Utopia but I don't even bother use these HPs on portable Daps while I can get much better sound on Denafrips Terminators II.

The PWAudio volume attenuator adapter is something I have often thought about and what I plan to do now, because of what you've explained.

The iem I like together with Ti99 are Ronin (this is the combination I hear about most often due to a special synergy), Trailli, Mason FS, Rn6, in this specific order.

Here's what the adapter looks like. It has two inverted dials to control the output level. I don't use it as much as I used to with pro.The PWAudio volume attenuator adapter is something I have often thought about and what I plan to do now, because of what you've explained.
I don't how but this tends to make the sound a bit more holographic.

Hmm... apologies if I had not posted it, but the E7 I understand from Wan has gone into production. So, we are looking at Q1 2024.No more news regarding the E7.

That's a real important information for me. Thanks for providing us.
I would like to hear from you what your experience is with the P6ProTi99 and STORM combination.
Have any of you tried running STORM with the Ti99? I would like to hear about your impressions.
Thanks!
