Interesting machine from Luxury n Precision

This is realy interesting. I personaly have found the p6p over usb input to be quite a bit behind compaired to internal storage. That wad improved quite a bit with even a fairly cheap isolator (intona) but it's still behind local file imo. This is especialy noticeable when using the p6p into some of my higher end desktop amps (though maybe that's not super fair to a dap tbh)
I think this has something to do with power output. As it is louder while running via usb dac via neutron at max volume, along with having different tonality and wider stage in all dimensions.

Did you try using Neutron? Other wise, yes it is behind in my finings as well.
Just to be honest, I am not a fan of the c9. I feel the wa8, phantasy ii, and 428 all beat it rather handedly in technicalities. What cans are you looking to run?
The Metal Magic Research Thummim.
I listen to loudly and I just feel the amp showing all sings of struggle past 57 HG . The harshness, the stage narrowing, imaging getting looser and smeared, etc.
Just to make clear, the volume output in terms of db is not what I find lacking, just the sense of power from having power in reserve I guess
I assume it has to do with Ibasso d312 I am used to having 6.9 V and p6pro 4.9.
So I am looking into something do give the sound slightly more density apart from sense of power and the traits that come with amping.

And also yes, despite using a high grade sd card from Mouser, the internal storage is the cleanest and more dynamic of the two.

I'd love to see L&P clean up the software for the new P7 (sort alphabetically, gapless) and then trickle down that improved software to a lower cost version of the P6Pro that is basically the P6Pro + improved software. Maybe use metal instead of wood if that saves money.

I love the idea a small, android-less, good battery R2R player, but near 4k USD is far too rich for my blood.

I am posting an interest check and see if there is any demand for my LP6 White Gold edition. I bought it from Andrew (Musicteck) last year. The reason for sale is that there is a potential opportunity for me to acquire a LP6 AE, and I want to see if I can collect some fund from selling my current LP6 White Gold version.

It is limited to 40 units globally and was initially launched only for the Japanese market. As a result, the system language is in Japanese and cannot be changed to English.

It is known for being optimized for vocal and pop music, especially for Japanese pop or Asian pop music.

The machine is in excellent working condition. There are some imperfections on the wood in the back, but they are of course unnoticeable with the leather case on.

I am considering a price of $3200 net to me. :)

Should be amazing with Ace!
It’s a great deal for Japanese friends 😊

And also yes, despite using a high grade sd card from Mouser, the internal storage is the cleanest and more dynamic of the two.

If you are talking about the Micron SD card, those aren't necessarily high grade. I have them and tested in variety of DAPs. The Micron cards are designed to run at low clock frequency thus reducing noise but it cannot keep up wth higher rate DSD files. L&P's SD card implementation seems like one of the weak spot and could use improvement. Internal storage has been almost always better with the P6Pro and LP6 that I had.

I'd love to see L&P clean up the software for the new P7 (sort alphabetically, gapless) and then trickle down that improved software to a lower cost version of the P6Pro that is basically the P6Pro + improved software. Maybe use metal instead of wood if that saves money.

I understand LP6 is expensive and I admit I am still recharging from the purchase... But, one of the key uniqueness of LP6 series (not P6 Pro series) is the Analog Device DAC used inside. My reference desktop system in my sig uses the same Analog Device chipset, and perhaps the Schiit is the only company using it. So to me, shrinking a $2600 desktop DAC (of course details are very different, but it's really the only alternative) and amp+player into a DAP format is valuable for me, especially since they exhibit similar tonal character that I don't hear with other AKM/Sabre based DAPs. I'm not saying that the price is justified but there is a sound character worth listening to if you have a chance.

I can live with Japanese interface, but is it better than my 7AE
Nah it is not, otherwise I would not want to upgrade.

Edit: the AE owner decided to keep it. :)

No, my usecase for USB input is for desktop not mobile tbh

If you are using the thummium the C9 may actualy be a solid choice tbh. I personally preferred it directly out of the p6p but if you need more volume I think the C9 was my personal favorite pairing for it out of my portable amps. I have heard its also quite good on the TUR-06 but I have yet to hear one

Absolutely.

I really just want them to cater to my needs, is all.
And they keep saying “not this time”.
Well, to be fair, I don’t think LP has ever said “not this time“ in respect of Android. :)

All I will say is that there is why there is a nice range of different types of DAPs etc to cater to different individual requirements. How far we have come since days when there was only iBasso’s DX100 and AK’s AK100.

Not sure if its common knowledge, but from what I've read on LP Wechat, the designer said no to Andriod OS for his upcoming DAP and that he said it will not be released this year due to difficulty for him to get all the parts he needs for the dap.

So no LP7 this year? From Wan himself? 🥺
Please don't quote me, this was his prediction. As he is a much smaller buyer and what he needs is more specialised, he basically got to wait until his orders are fulfilled.

He said late this year is probability but next year is definite.

Considering the supply chain issues even for giants like Sony, it should not be of any surprise. Look at how the roll out of the Sony M2s are delayed and how Sony is struggling to fulfill.
