If you like isis (best live show EVAR, I handed Aaron Turner a bottle of water) then here are some things to try:
Agalloch, as previously mentioned.
Mastodon
Opeth
Jesu (opened for isis that night, also amazing)
The Red Sparowes (neurosis and isis members)
Old Man Gloom (aaron turner)

Also, check out Isis and Aaron Turner's various side projects on wikipedia.

Also, you might try some black metal along the lines of Drudkh.

@Prozakk: Wikipedia actually does an excellent job of explaining the eccentricities of all the subgenres.

Besides wikipedia, a good source of info on everything, you can try Metal Archives. Some of bands mentioned on this thread don't appear there but Isis does: http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=4844. Metal Archives is the most complete source of information on everything metal.

You can also take a look at last.fm: http://www.last.fm/music/Isis?q=Isis. You have the "similar artists" on the left, also click on the "sludge" tag on the cloud in the top right.

Chimaira and Trivium have been getting the heaviest rotation in my iPod lately.

Good choices, although I'm not a fan of the new Trivium stuff. Chimaira's self titled though is very very well-done.
