My title says it all - I want to get something very similar to the Denon D7000's in sound in an in-ear headphone.
I am not a total bass head - I like a rich, full sound with good detail.
*please no responses dissing the Denon's*

Heya,

Hrm, the D7000 is actually quite linear, with very good sub-bass response, but it's not bassy. Again, very linear, quite hi-fi, if you will. Should be relatively easy to find a very linear IEM. Denon's signature just adds a slight sparkle to the treble, and they went out of their way to make sure 30hz landed around the same SPL as 300hz. Again, linear.

Maybe some Westone 4R, or Shure SE535, or Sennheiser IE80? At this point though you could also just go CIEM.

Very best,

I should add that I can spend around 2 beans - the Ortofon e-Q5 interest me - and I just read some positive stuff about the Philips Fidelio line...
keep 'em coming.
