Hey guys,

Since I've had my Shure SE110's stolen I'm looking at a replacement for my music needs on the train. I can't stand listening to these apple $5 pieces of crap so I'm thinking of ordering one of the following.

Sennheiser CX880i $134 http://tiny.cc/27srs
Shure SE215 $95 http://tiny.cc/iez2f

Shure SE315 $163 http://tiny.cc/v9c7u

I'm trying to work out whether the difference in price is worth going for the more expensive ones or going for the cheaper ones. The main thing I want is as good as quality sound that I can get (its hard using an iphone 4). Is it worth purchasing a portable amp?

Suggestions anyones?

Shure SE315 should suffice, its a reasonable upgrade from your 110s and it also has removable cables so it can be replaced if the wires die out on you :)

Should I be considering other brands like Westone 1's/Sennheiser, Ultimate Ears, Vsonic earphones? Anyone know what differences I should look for with the products around the $175 Budget.. I mean I think I like the Shure SE315's but I've never tried anything besides the SE110's.. and cheap crap iphone earphones

I'd was hoping you;d say something like that :p

My earphone progression went from;
Apple Stock Earphones, a few pairs of cheap sonys or audio technicas (40 dollar or so ones) to Shure SE115s, Ultimate Ears Triple Fis, Westone 3s, Sennheisers IE8, Shure SE535 and ended really with Um3xs, for universal fits.

It would depend on what you listen to really, but I'd recommend Ultimate Ears or Westone for a more neutral yet fun type of tone. :)

I listen to a bit of everything.. rnb, techno,pop,rock.. so it's hard to choose,  I want a good quality case and set of earbuds with whatever I choose, + the Shure ones looked awesome with the clear casing and seeing the drivers :p dam headphones/earphones are a costly hobby :p

I really need some guru's here on what I should be looking for to decide which one is the best suitable!

Sennheiser CX880,Westone UM1's, Westone 1's,Shure SE315, Sennheiser IE6, which to go with,,,  Atrio m5

SE215 will be great choice for your music!
They are making big soung, very good bass, very good mids, shure-style highs:)
They are melodical and fun, you will like them.
Also thay are very durable, replaceble cables, case, very good tips, very good isolation, comfort seal.
And...
... very good price:)
