I listen to a lot of speeches on the go from an iPod nano. Now my etymotics ER-6 cables start to break. What I like with the etys: no bass at all but very clear with human voices and a very good isolation of traffic noise, I want in my new IEM too. Any suggestions?

ER4's and iM716 may be a bit overkill for voices unless they are in your budget or you're really looking for high-fidelity speeches. Another ER6, iM616, or ATH-CK7 may suit your needs admirably.

For voice only, I can't see any reason to spend more than $100. Audio is often recorded at low bitrates and may actually sound worse on a high-end earphone.
