Tips like this are always much appreciated
but you say the PB2 has a veil? Do you mean like the infamous Sennheiser veil ? :)

yea sure, stock cable deliver a “velvet” signal not as clear like a better cable

Curious, how long folks keep using the same tips. I like IMR tips, but i realized that i've been using them for a over a year now!
It usually takes me a while to find the tips that work best with the given IEM, but after that they stay indefinitely. Though sometimes there's only one choice for me, like in the case of TRI Starsea and MT300: I have to use foams with them for reasons of driver flex and moisture, respectively.

The bacteria in your ears builds up much much faster when you use tips so technically you 'should' clean them every few weeks or so !

And what's the difference between R3 Halcyon and Opus Mia?
R3 is a warmer thicker sounding IEM. It has more weight and density in the notes. Opus is lighter over all - similar detail levels on both but Opus are presented in a more open airy manner. R3 is a notably rich warm IEM. Opup is noticeably more balanced acros all frequencies - Both very good - depends on your set up which might be more set up. For exsmple I would not reccomend the R3 is you have a warm sounding DAP / Source

Halcyon plays with more low range. It's a warmer iem, with more body. A softer and more relaxed listening. PB2 is faster. With a tighter low end and less descending. Brighter midrange and forward shifted. Go down wider and more direct. It still has body. It's like taking off a veil from Halcyons. It depends on what you like. They are for a different audience ....
Halcyon is after Opus the maximum point of IMR. PB2 is different from the IMR sound. It's a different sound from the IMR Acoustic brand sound. But I think Bob did PB2 to fill a part of iem with a sound philosophy that IMR hadn't done yet. PB2 if you like "classic" IMR sound you might like less than Opus and Halcyon.

@fabio19 you forgot Semper, but I agree with you.
New IMR 2021 would be interesting with new ADLC driver instead of Aten.
  • Opus melius
  • Omnia
  • Astra Ultraque
will come during 2021.
Opus melius based on ADLC and EST
Omnia ADLC and BA
Astra ultraque ADLC, BC, EST
I’m so curious to know how many drivers for each project🥸

looks Bob has got BC drivers 😏

@Xinlisupreme : Re: 'Omnia ADLC and BA'
Im pretty sure its It is Bobs BD new (Balanced Drive) not BA (Balanced Armature) which is a drive that combines 2 different types into 1. I cant remember what he said off hand buts his new design
