Thanks a lot for the comparison . 25 and 35% is a lot to miss ,but I managed to do it, lol. I listened to the song you mentioned at least 15 times with the 2 cables and I hear absolutely zero difference. I tried hard to become a believer in cable sound but it's not meant to be I guess .
Im wondering if there was an issue with that specific cable. IMR cables are top notch. Can you squeeze 'more' treble or other qualities out your IMR with a much more expensive or different material (better?) cable - yes but does that diminish the IMR cable. No !

You don't need sensitive ears to hear less of something, meaning the amount of treble if is being reduced by a certain cable should be audible by everyone. Again, I hear zero difference between the two cables with the Mest . Both cables connected to M15 at the same time while swapping the earpieces. Listening to some bright Metallica songs.

I don't know what to say? My rig may be more revealing than yours? In other words, it could be an all in the audible chain thing? That just makes sense to
me, ymmv...
If I were just playing out of the Max the differences would probably be minimal. However, I've heard it from my big rig so to me, they would still be noticed.
I'm running from a Max to my desktop amp all balanced connections.
