Will bone conduction work in metal shells?
I’m curious to know how Astra ultraque can be better than PB2.
PB2 has planar but AU has Bone conduction driver.
PB2 has 9mm titanium driver instead AU has ADLC driver (??mm)
Both have 2 EST?
I'm pretty sure they will have some sort of tight headband. The bone-conducting thing must adhere to your skin quite firmly to work correctly, from what I know. But we'll know for sure what it's like when the models are revealed. Will bone conduction work in metal shells?
Even with PB2, it’s quite similar to Chinese high end IEMs sounding designOn EDP mk 1 titanium driver works very well IMHO.

Sorry so long, I just happened to run across your post while searching for something else. You have the Mest ,right?
If so, could you please use an IMR cable on it and tell me what differences you hear vs the stock cable. On "kashmir" for example. I'm really curious about this.
Bob said, adlc brings a better bass control. It is more accurate. But imr house sound stay the same.I think Astra sounds very different from Semper.
This year's lineup is maybe based on Pb two.
They intend to improve quality rather than amount of bass with ADLC?
Thanks a lot for the comparison . 25 and 35% is a lot to miss ,but I managed to do it, lol. I listened to the song you mentioned at least 15 times with the 2 cables and I hear absolutely zero difference. I tried hard to become a believer in cable sound but it's not meant to be I guess .Sorry so long, I just happened to run across your post while searching for something else.
Using the 4.4 IMR cable shrank the soundstage 35% + it reduced the treble sparkle/air another (at least) 25%. The instruments had a slight veil and the piano played so unnaturally with an unfocused/distorted? ring to the high notes. The IMR cable just made the whole presentation sound waaaaay off!
By the way, I played Surfboard by George Coleman/Brandi Dusterheft..
