I've SOR and interested in purchasing SOG. Is SOG just like SOR with more bass or are there other differences (briefly)?
Here's what @flu_fighter has to say regarding that:

some brief comparisons between the SOR and SOG as both are still burning in

SOR has got more definition in the leading edges, mostly due to it being closed, SOG in comparison has got a softer focus in that area.

SOG's bass is heavier and has a bit less treble. SOR was quite bright at the start, but since then the treble has settled down a bit, but can still be a bit bright sometimes, will have to see how it goes as it gets more burn-in.

Both will definitely go through really crappy passages of burn-in, I think the SOG's mids disappeared for a while around 150 hours, then it came back.

Yup. Just as Flu fighter said. Due to the open and close nature, there is also difference in isolation and staging. My finding is sog staging is wider but sor is taller.

I have an Elysium in the classifieds if you want to treat yourself and get a taste of what IMR has to offer. Can do $600 shipped for anyone viewing this thread!

I suppose I can do a Thanksgiving Day discount... $550 shipped for my Elysium with all stock accessories and bonus 4.4mm cable.

Not much love for the EDP+ here?
TBH I was neglecting it , but after a few day of dedicating my ears to them I love them. They sound so smooth and relaxing , and the special planar timbre plus the bass quality is so unique and satisfying to my ears. It feels great to rediscover a piece of gear.

Can you perhaps post a comparisson between the SOR and Isabellae?

I thought that whole "generation" got very little recognition here for some reason. Probably due to the very limited runs. Barely anything was said about the Elysium, for example.

That's why I say with so many models in a short period of time and so little impressions , it's practically a blind buy without knowing anything if you are looking to pick something up form IMR.
I wish there was at least FR graphs on the site to go by.

The whirlwind tips, nope, shallow fit / short nozzle. I need long nozzle + wide flange.
If you need something with the bore of Whirlwind, but longer nozzle - Azla Sedna Standard is the the ticket. It'll give you deeper insertion but same wide bore.

In a prior posting he mentioned he used the standard but in light form and they are ideal but cause some discomfort with prolonged use, perhaps Azla Sedna short variant in standard trim and not the light may work.

Isabellae is drier in the mids and also more of a specialist iem. It can do acoustic and pop music beautifully and some metal as well, but when iy comes to alternative rock, that's where it kinda ordinary.

SOR can pretty much do all genres though it can be a bit unforgiving at times for badly recorded stuff.

Speedwise, I think SOR is definitely much faster sounding
