The NaLe . .
been burning in and listening for a while now and have found some quite special and unique sometimes hidden amazing qualities. ( Black/red - foam)
1st impressions where - very clean, very clear, bass more towards mids, nice low rumble on sub-bass, very fast transients...but then
and this is where it got interesting. Checking for clarity with the female announcer on -
Pink Floyd DSOTM - 'On the run'
I have never heard the words of the announcer that clearly before o_0 or for her voice to have so much space around it.
I have also never heard such depth and space on this track or maybe better to say...never with such frightening immersion !!
On another track - 'Us and them' there is a short piano solo which appeared way over to the left with amazing clarity in its own space - never heard it do that before
The way which every instrument has its own large space to be clearly heard in is amazing. Sometimes an instrument will appear way off to one side and sometimes it can appear right next to your ear, sometimes even behind the head !!
Low end is weird..not in a bad way but there seems to be not much LOW end but sub bass is great and bass guitars are always exceptionally clear and detailed and yet the music doesn't to suffer from this at all
Sometimes you physically feel the air coming off the instruments and not just drums!
With a quick superficial listen you might miss a lot. NaLe sounds great But when you give it a particularly well produced / masteed album it becomes a different beast, immersive, detailed, huge holographic 3D soundstage, exceptional clarity, superb imaging, rich bass.
Even though they seem to be very clean and clear with more simple acoustic music like Crosby & Nash for example, the vocals can sound Very realistic - not in a 'in the same room' way but if you listened through headphones in a studio and heard direct from the mic, raw - in this way vocals can sometimes sound scaringly real.
They are one of those IEMs where you will quite likely hear your albums in a way you may not have before. Once I heard the qualities mentioned above Ive found them incredibly addictive. Putting on some Grateful Dead with the NaLe..? Forget about it..you're in for a long session
Halfway through burn in. Looking forward to hearing how they refine further & then seeing what tweaks will bring
