Sure, this device also has BBE, but you guys are really comparing it in sound quality to the Cowon J3?  To my knowledge, that's the best in sound quality currently on the market, no?  Am I outdated in information?  This does look impressive but am I hearing right that it also has more power?..  Thanks.

I don't think anyone who had been involved in any of the J3 discussion here have both players at the same time. I think rawster was just mentioning his interest on find an alternative DAP for more portability, not comparing the two head-to-head.

hi... umm... any difference in material used? (I mean, the housing) is it the same as Gumstick?

The housing is identical, except perhaps Gumstick only comes in blue while C30 has three different colors.

hi! I see! And how are we supposed to refer to Cube's company if our C30 is faulty? (within 1 year warranty of course) And do you think this player WILL last long? (for at least 2 years?) Need your opinion on this before I purchase!

Cube doesn't deal with oversea buyer, since C30 is only meant to sell within China local market. Supposedly the dealer who sells you the C30 should help you to claim warranty if anything happens. I have had my C30 for 5 months now and Gumstick for over half a year - both of them still run fine and there is no reason now for me to believe why they won't last at least a year and some more.

I see... according to this person who's selling it (LYN member) he said I'd have to ship it back to China... Oh my God that sounds scary enough already! Do you think there'd be local shops that fix these? Or it's impossible as there aren't any parts here?

The components on C30 is so tiny that you can't even solder it by hand and have to use a soldering machine, so no, I don't think any local shops is capable of repairing it. I have been buying electronics stuff from as well as sending stuff to China for the last couple of years and there is nothing scary about it. Unless you are sending a half an KG brick, registered mail from Pos Malaysia usually is a fairly reliable and cheap solution.

Who knows, how good is Cube C30 in pair with Sunrise SW-Xcape?
Is it good enough to open Xcapes potential?

I don't find Xcape to be difficult to drive from a DAP in anyway but if you are referring to synergy, then I do find the combination pretty good.

Thanks, ClieOS. May be I should try it... The thing is that with my android lg gt-540 phone I don't get as much as I want to: mids and highs are fine and much better than with PL30.
But since I'm bass-guitar player I want to hear every bass note (though it does not mean that I'm basshead) and with my phone basses are far bihind. . Yesterday I found that even Ipod video
does basses not so good also. I got what I want only with my laptop, which has only simple Realtek sound card on motherboard via foobar. Yeah, that was nice - all notes were there...
Earlier PL30's with my phone made basses fine, thats why I was surprised when heard sound from Xcape.
May be I just have to get used to such kind of sound (my first impressions from PL30s were also not very good, but now I think in some aspects their sound even better for me than Xcape).
May be I can not adjust EQ in the PowerAmp player...

A request to you, ClieOS , or any other owners of Cube C30 / Nationite N2 and RE 262.

Will you please measure more accurately the battery life from one full charge, on adequate volume listening lavel, on CubeC30/N2 + RE 262 ?

It is really important for me, as, at the moment, I am choosing between Re 262 and VSonic GR07 earphones. As a DAP i'll go for C30/N2, till the day S:Flo3 comes out... I am afraid even considering both S:Flo2 and RE 262 together, because of battery drain issuer. I would like to know how long am I gonna listen music in my traveling, and if there is an significant difference caused by RE 262's power hunger, I'll go for GR07 for sure .

RE 262 and GR07 are quite expensive, I wouldn't be able affording both the same time. And I don't like carrying additional stuff besides my DAP and EarPhones. :o

Alright, I'll try to do a battery test on C30 with RE262, but that's going to take some time...

I just stopped the battery test on 15hrs cause I don't see much point on going further. It still has one bar left and quite possibly can run for another 2 hrs or so. Test files are basically all 320kbps mp3 with volume set at 15, which is my usual background listening volume.
