I am currently using the Bose TriPort phones (which I realize are not in-ear) and always store them in the supplied case when not in use. I've never simply wrapped my phones around my iPod and tossed them in a backpack. In fact, I keep my iPod in a rubber sleeve which I then slip into a case as well when not in use. As such, I'm hopeful that the Image X10's don't get damaged with standard office-environment listening. If so, they're going on eBay as soon as they're repaired
