About the batteries, it could be the reason.

Ok, so considering the philips is 40hz-24khz, would it be stupid to think that the bass boost boosts only the 40-80hz frequencies ?

But there is no information about the power of the phone out

Anyway, after your many and good advice, I think the solution would be to buy an amp with a good headphone, and maybe also a little EQ.

Specs for the device say Headphone frequency range: 40 – 24,000 Hz ~ I don't know if that's just the headphones or the headphone out that's limited to that... either way I think a nice DAC/amp will do wonders for all your current headphones. Foobar > DAC/Amp will allow you to play around with the EQ for your desired sound, picking a headphone that extends that low should give you what you're looking for. If you're EQing the XB700 give it a little dip around 110-220 Hz ~ that eradicates the 'boominess' on the majority of my headphones.

Ok, I'll do that.
First of all I will try to find a good amp.
Then, will see about an EQ.
Cause I don't use my PC for waching movies, I'll take a look on the Behringer EQ like the Deq2496.
