I'm Done (Vsonic GR02 Bass Edition) VS GR06
Mar 8, 2013 at 8:56 AM Post #286 of 408
I prefer the GR06 to the GR02 (as Kova4a said, it's a smoother, more lush, more detailed sound overall), but I think you'll be happier with the GR02.  It has a little more bass, and is well suited to the music you listen to.  I consider it an excellent beginner's IEM.  It doesn't hurt that it's also dirt cheap.  I love the GR06, but it's not twice as good as the GR02, but it is twice the price.

Buy the GR02 and stop worrying about it.  You'll love it.

I agree that the GR06 has a smoother signature. It's also more mid forward in presentation. However, it does lack details in the highs and it sounds veiled to me compared to the GR02. They're both great phones though.

Any idea how these would compare to audio technica ATH-CK7s?  Probably a ton more bass I'm sure but otherwise?

*well I ordered them, since I need a new pair and everyone is raving about these

I wouldn't say they have a ton more bass but they do have enough to be satisfying. I have no idea how they would compare to the ATH-XK7's though.

I wouldn't call the VC02 a huge upgrade. It depends on what signature you're looking for. The GR02 BE will give you more bass impact, while the VC02 seems to be more balanced among the bass, mids and the highs... no frequency really overpowering each other.

vsonic need to be more creative with their naming. its getting more confusing

its more expensive than the old gr02 , so i think its soundsig is  more refined

hi, how can you compare the GR02 BE to your VC02, is the latter a huge upgrade? :D

GR02 BE I a more v shaped sound with great bass and sparkly highs and a narrower sound stage where the VC02 is more of a neutral sound with great clarity and better abound stage but less bass and impact. My full reviews are here:

Got mine in from lendmeureras, the package is in English now!

They sound great, very pleased with them. Bass is way more than my audio technica ATH-CK7. The low end bass is plenty nice, sometimes feels like I'm at home with my HSU sub.

* I have comply foam T400s on, makes a pretty good seal. Much less noise from the outside than with my old IEMs.  Sometimes I feel its not safe when walking in the city.  I am also listening to music at lower volumes on my phone due to isolation.
