Ok I have decided to buy the Ety ER-4. I currently own the Shures E500 but I want to have a second option with a different sound signature. Sometimes I would like to get a more detailed sound with more emphazis on the highs than the E500, which sometimes I find lack on the highs department. I first tought on the Triple Fi but given the bad reviews they have received I decided not to take the risk and go for the Eys.

So I don't know which version should I get: E4R-P or E4R-S ?? I would use them with an Imod 5.5 Gen + Alo Supper Cotton Dock + Tomahawk.

Thanks in advance for your advise

If you get the 4P's you can buy a special cable with a resistor added in to increase the impedance which matches that of the 4S'. Effectively getting both IEM's for the cost of one.

I honestly prefer the ER4P. Both amped or unamped, they have more bass. I use a Supermini with them.

I agree with Zanth that the ER4P with the cable give you the flexibility of both better sound with an amp, and the option to go ampless.
